Danielle Gilmore, Ph.D., Senior Analyst, has expertise in critical theories and phenomenology, with a specialization in conducting culturally responsive and racial equity informed research and evaluation. She has extensive experience in community-based participatory research and addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion issues within the K-12 education policy space. She is a highly trained mixed-methods researcher experienced in both qualitative and quantitative analyses including thematic and grounded theory analysis and logistic regression.

 

Danielle has led qualitative data collection and analysis, including managing the Primetime Sister Circles research study in partnership with the Gaston and Porter Health Institute, American Institutes of Research, and Unity Health Care. Her research enhances policy making and implementation fidelity by highlighting practitioners’ lived experiences to bridge the gap between policy and practice.

 

At Community Science, she is a member of the evaluation team for the Schenectady Foundation’s ONE Schenectady Initiative, Evaluation of the CareQuest Institute Grantmaking and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Monitoring & Evaluation of Case Studies: Evaluation Services In The Development And Implementation Of Rapid Community Case Studies Using Participatory Approaches. Notably, she led the data analysis of key informant interviews that will directly inform the development of the county-wide strategy for systems change for the ONE Schenectady evaluation team.

 

She serves as a graduate research assistant and Selective Excellence fellow at the George Washington Institute of Public Policy. Danielle is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
