Community Science participated in its biannual day of service at Interfaith Works Clothing Center on November 5, 2019. Interfaith Works is a nonprofit agency and a nonsectarian interfaith coalition servicing more than 13,500 people with free lightly used clothing. More than 165 affiliated congregations of diverse faiths work together to meet the needs of the poor and homeless population in Montgomery County. Community Science team members spent the day sorting and hanging clothes and restocking shelves of books and other home goods. The purpose of the Community Science Day of Service is not only to give, but to also learn by having a glimpse into the lives of the people who are the focus of our work.
