Community Science, under a subcontract with the Battelle Memorial Institute, provided technical direction and other evaluation services for the national evaluation of the Drug Free Communities Support Program, sponsored by the Executive Office of the President, Office of National Drug Policy Control (ONDCP). Community Science conducted an evaluation of 739 substance abuse prevention coalitions, using data provided by grantees as well as archival data to determine coalition effectiveness. Community Science also was responsible for the development of a coalition typology, which classified coalitions based on their stage of development. We were responsible for grantee outcome data quality assurance procedures, conducted data analysis and wrote reports for ONDCP and for public distribution. Community Science also provided technical assistance on substance abuse prevention measures and data collection methods. (2004-2008)
