Join Kien Lee, President, Community Science, and Stephen Shimshock, Managing Director of Analytics Solutions, BCT Partners for a roundtable exploring how traditional research methods and AI-powered analytics can work together to support learning, evaluation, and continuous strategy improvement – perhaps at a faster pace.
Stephen & Kien will introduce a framework that integrates multiple analytical approaches to make sense of large volumes of quantitative and qualitative data, even when the data may be incomplete or imperfect. We will be joined by leaders from philanthropy, human services, and nonprofit organizations to discuss what helps them learn and improve, including:
- How to identify emerging issues and patterns,
- Determine where deeper inquiry is needed,
- Generate more timely and actionable insights, and
- Understand where AI adds value—and where human judgment remains essential.

Stephen leads work combining research, evaluation, data visualization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to address complex social and organizational challenges. He co-developed BCT’s Precision Analytics approach and its AI-based Insight Generator, which helps practitioners use organizational data to identify patterns, support decisions, and improve services while preserving professional judgment.
