Community Science is proud to partner with the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) Graduate Education Diversity Internship (GEDI) Program. The goals of the program are to:

  1. Recruit graduate students of color and other underrepresented groups to extend their research capacities to evaluation;
  2. Stimulate evaluation thinking concerning underrepresented communities; and
  3. Deepen the evaluation profession’s capacity to work in racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse settings.

As Co-Director, our own Dr. Brandi Gilbert cultivates the evaluation and research capacities of students of color and other under-represented groups. Her role focuses on training students in culturally responsive evaluation practices and overseeing internship site placements for students to gain hands-on evaluation experience. Additionally, she fosters mentor relationships between interns and current evaluators and helps make connections among incoming interns and the larger GEDI alumni network. 00596
