The Annie E. Casey Foundation brought a small group of national, regional, and community-based grantmakers together to present the findings from research of financial coaching practices. At the meeting, Dr. Lee, along with former Community Science Principal Associate Scott Hebert, presented findings from a financial coaching field scan, which included a discussion of current practices, outcomes, and recommendations for the field. The Center for Financial Security presented on their research on recommended outcomes of financial coaching and a scan of training programs.
This was an invitation-only, small gathering of funders and was attended by representatives of the following:
- Bank of America Charitable Foundation;
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau;
- Fairfield County’s Community Foundation;
- W. K. Kellogg Foundation;
- Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund; and
- Citi Foundation.
