Research Assistant-Research & Capacity Building Washington, DC Area
Community Science is looking for a full-time Research Assistant with exceptional time management skills, organizational skills, and knowledge of evaluation and research methods to coordinate projects, review literature, collect and analyze data, contribute to reports and proposals and help manage meetings and travel logistics. You will be part of a team that supports national and local projects involving large systems and community change to foster healthy communities, families, and children. You must demonstrate a commitment to scientific rigor, progressive social change and community capacity building.
Two years of experience in the implementation of research on or evaluation of projects related to at least one area of community change e.g. health equity, housing and economic development, early childhood development, racial equity, food justice, workforce development, systems change, or community capacity building.
Bachelor's degree in social science, public health, community health or other related science;
Demonstration of prior relevant organizational experience and detail orientation and skills
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and data analysis software e.g., STATA, Atlas or GIS
Demonstrated ability to write well and present data and other information clearly and effectively under time constraints
Fluency in Spanish or another language is strongly preferred, but not required.
